I would like to thank you for your exceptional service to our community and congratulate you on being named a distinguished finalist in the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. This honor recognizes you as one of a select group of top youth volunteers in the state of New Jersey.

As a cofounder of “HelpLight NJ” you raised money to replace 82,000 incandescent light bulbs with energy-saving compact fluorescent bulbs for 13,000 families. This innovative volunteer effort is helping New Jersey families save money and advancing our state’s goal of becoming
more energy efficient. Your extraordinary leadership has inspired 19 other high schools to participate in the “HelpLight NJ” program. Your service is an extraordinary example for all young people.
